Higher Education Interoperability workgroup

date:  26/07/2023

The Higher Education Interoperability Framework will be developed in three phases. In the first phase, a dedicated expert group will work on a draft architecture design for interoperable European Higher Education infrastructures until November 2023, while representatives from European Universities alliances will be invited to evaluate and provide feedback on the design iteratively. The second phase, scheduled for completion in June 2024, will involve onboarding additional representatives from the European Universities alliances to collaboratively map real-world use cases, common challenges, bottlenecks, and identify patterns and protocols that can contribute to the creation of a standardized framework. Lastly, the workgroup will deliver the final Higher Education Interoperability Framework by February 2025, encompassing practical guidelines for implementation, maintenance, and governance.
