The European Climate Stocktake on 27 October: registrations are open!

Dear readers,

On behalf of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action, we wish to invite you to the European Climate Stocktake – EU and global progress towards the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The event will take place on 27 October 2023 (9:30-18:00 CET) at this address: Charlemagne Building, Rue de la Loi 170, Brussels. A livestream will be available for those who cannot attend in-person, make sure to register to find out how to join us online.

Get your place: register here and have a look at the event website with the full programme.

High-level policymakers from the European Union and across the world will get together with stakeholders to discuss:

  • What progress and achievements have marked the eight years since the Paris Agreement and what can we expect from the UN climate negotiations this year?

  • How can the EU help move the rest of the world along the path to ambitious decarbonisation?

  • How do European stakeholders see the state of the green transition and the way forward?

The event will feature speakers from the EU and around the world, including UN agencies, businesses, NGOs, academia and youth. You will also hear stories from successful European projects and initiatives active in the net-zero transition.

Key take-away messages from the event will be shared with the international community in the run-up to the Global Stocktake set to conclude at COP28 in Dubai, in December.

The event will be followed by a networking cocktail.

Register today to secure your place for on-site attendance or to follow the event online.

We hope to see you in Brussels!
