Leveraging the wisdom of the crowd, weTHINK.eu, an Austrian based start up, together with its partners, the Center for Advanced Red Teaming (CART) at the University of Albany, Unmanned Robotics Systems Analysis (URSA), University of Piraeus, UWE Bristol and DroneSec is conducting online based (war)game simulations to forecast unmanned threats to critical infrastructure in Europe and develop and exchange best practices on how to mitigate them. The innovative approach is to use an online crowd knowledge solution to bring in 600 critical infrastructure companies, experts and security actors from the EU to take part in simulation-games in an online survey format.

The simulation-game aims to develop tactical, operational, and strategic recommendations for critical infrastructure companies, and other actors involved in preventing and handling incidents (police, private security companies, emergency services, insurance, regulatory authorities). The simulations are regularly summarized in reports for the participants and stakeholders to raise awareness, identify vulnerabilities, and explore emerging threats.

In addition to the simulation, actors from the critical infrastructure community conduct a continuous brainstorming discussion on unmanned systems security for critical infrastructure companies in exclusive moderate working groups on the weTHINK.eu crowd knowledge platform.
