Scheduled upgrade of the EWCMS to version 2.6

Sites affected:

        ec.europa.eu/info
        ec.europa.eu/commission/commissioners

There will be no availability to the backend of the sites affected on the following days:

  • INFO, CWT: Saturday 24 April 2021 between 8:00 to 23:59

Should the schedule change, we will inform you as soon as possible.

  • The editorial backend is expected to be offline during the time frame indicated. We recommend that editors do not work on the site during these times, as they might experience issues while saving their work. If the work is unavoidable, we recommend that they save their work repeatedly, or even work offline if possible.
  • A varnish cache is foreseen to keep the frontend online for the release scheduled on INFO and CWT. The cache will be rolled out during the day of the scheduled upgrade. In order to better prepare the cache please take note of the following:
    • If you schedule to edit existing nodes or add new nodes at any time during the day of the upgrade, please contact europamanagement@ec.europa.eu as soon as possible.
  • After the upgrade, our team will run a check for problems. If issues arise, we will roll back the upgrade to the previous version.

If you detect issues following the upgrade to the new version during the weekend, please contact the permanence team by sending an e-mail to ec-central-helpdesk@ec.europa.eu
