Asset Manager: Restore of files following incident

On Wednesday 2 September, an end-user with root-level permissions made an error while synchronizing files to production in the Asset Manager. This mistake was only detected on Monday 7 September.

DIGIT Webtools retrieved from the logs all files that were accidentally synchronized to production. These files were then restored to their previous version on Monday 14 September.

Late last week, DG SANTE reported an issue that was rapidly addressed. Despite our efforts to minimise the consequences of the initial error, it seems that there could be a few "false positives" amongst the files that were restored.

You received this message because you are the owner of some of these files. Therefore, could we kindly ask you to double-check any files that you have synchronized to production between Wednesday 2 September and Tuesday 15 September 2020?

If you find files in production that are not in their latest version, please contact europamanagement@ec.europa.eu. We will investigate further with DIGIT Webtools on how to solve your issue in the Asset Manager.

Our apologies for the inconvenience.
