EWPP pre production - protection behind simple http authentication

We are contacting you because you are the site owner of a Europa Web Publishing Platform (Drupal 8) site that is currently in pre-production.

We would like to inform you that as of 26 August you will only be able to access this website:

•     From a computer on the EC network
•     From outside the EC network, using a login and password

This change is being made to block search engine crawlers and any unwanted visits to your site until it goes live.  

Visitors from outside the EC network attempting to access your site on its pre-production URL https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/ewcms/site_id/ will be requested to login with a username and password.

This restriction will remain in place until the website goes live.

The credentials needed to access the site are the same that you use for your acceptance environment.

Please note that sites under the migration project have a different set of pre-production credentials. These credentials are required until the Migration Team completes their main task and the site is delivered to the DG.
