Confluence Wiki - Two-factor authentication outside the EC network
This important communication is sent to all administrators of extranet Confluence Wikis.
Following a security incident, access to Wikis from outside the EC network must request two-factor authentication (2FA) to verify the identity of your users.
Due to a miscommunication, 2FA had been activated on extranet Wikis: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/fpfis/wikis. This has been disabled until Friday, 29 May when DIGIT will activate 2FA in the morning.
Important information: there will be no rollback after Friday morning. Therefore, we suggest that you reach out to your users and ask them to choose a verification method from the EU Login user guide before that date.

Note: intranet Wikis are not impacted by this change: https://www.cc.cec/wikis.
We understand the impact and apologise for the miscommunication. However, the implementation of 2FA is an emergency action which follows a security risk. Please do not hesitate to get back to europamanagement@ec.europa.eu in case you need further assistance.
