As previously announced, we are finalising the updates to the ECL visual library.
This new version, ECL V4, mainly focuses on visual improvements of the existing components, such as colour palette, corners, shadows.

In practice:

• BETA: ECL V4 is currently available in beta, see: https://ec.europa.eu/component-library/v4.0.0-beta-1/ec/
• LIVE launch: ECL V4 will go live 1st of March.

EWPP sites:
All EWPP sites will be automatically updated with the next EWPP release (R25) currently planned for the second half of March.
As usual, EWPP site owners will be able to preview and test their site in acceptance before the go live. This will give you the opportunity to check the visual consistency of your site with the updated visual library.

Non-EWPP sites:
To ensure a coherent visual identity for the Commission’s web presence, owners of non-EWPP websites are invited to adopt the updated visual library as quickly as practically possible.
