BREXIT - End of transition period and removal of disclaimer

With the end of the Brexit transition period fast approaching, here is an update regarding the Commission’s web presence and content that mentions the UK.

Firstly, the UK Taskforce has advised us that the Brexit disclaimer that has been in place on the Info site footer since January is no longer valid, as content referring to the UK should have been updated by now. Therefore we will be removing it on 01 December 2020.

If you have implemented the disclaimer text on your own website (or linked to the Info site page), please ensure that you remove it by this date. The UK Taskforce has a page that you can link to instead with regards the effects after the transition period:

Please note that the responsibility for ensuring that there is no incorrect or misleading information on DG websites lies with DGs themselves. So please make sure that you are prepared for the end of the transition period with regard to any mention of the UK.

We invite you to double-check any sensitive pages so as to avoid any problems in January.
