EUROPA - Urgent maintenance at the DataCenter

An urgent maintenance has been planned on...

date:  15/10/2015

Dear colleagues,

An urgent maintenance at the DataCenter has been planned for:
Today, Wednesday, January 28, 2015

The security bulleting CVE2015-0235 (GHOST) released yesterday late afternoon describes the exposure of most Linux servers to potential exploits.
In response to the severity of the threat DIGIT will proceed with an urgent patching and reboot of all Linux servers in the corporate Data Centres.

The intervention will be organised in two phases and will minimise as much as possible the impact on your information systems:

  • All Linux Non production (Dev/Test/Acc/Training/Maintenance) servers will be rebooted between 15:00 and 18:00 today
  • All Linux production servers will be rebooted between 18:00 today and 06:00 tomorrow

The impact on your information systems will be potential brief periods of service unavailability in the intervention windows announced above.
Due to the massive scale of the operations and the necessity of a swift response to the threat, a more detailed planning on an IS by IS basis is unfortunately not possible.

Best regards,
The EUROPA team.
