date: 29/04/2022
This release is strategic as it will include the long-awaited DID method v2, allowing EBSI to enforce the use of DIDs for Natural Persons while being fully GDPR compliant, and other core services improvements supporting the Natural Persons onboarding. In parallel to the updates that will be released as part of this new version, the current EBSI core services will remain fully operational. Wallet Providers conformant with the current version of the Wallet Conformance Testing (WCT v1),, will stay conformant for another couple of months. We will update you on the future version of the WCT in our next edition.
The security and architecture teams have been following the plan to roll out the production-ready infrastructure. This includes substantial progress on several essential tracks, such as the smart contracts audit, internal security and stress tests, followed by prioritisation for remediation and fixes regarding identified issues or vulnerabilities.
