EBSI's role in delivering enhanced public services in national recovery and resilience plans presented to Member States

The digitalisation of public administrations is one of seven flagship areas for investments and reform under the €672.5 billion Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). In January 2021, during a virtual workshop, Peteris Zilgalvis, Head of Unit, Digital Innovation and Blockchain at DG CNECT, presented how EBSI can contribute to the digitalisation of public administration. EBSI tangibly demonstrates how blockchain technology can enhance the way citizens, governments and businesses interact digitally. By April 2021, Member States will submit a national recovery and resilience plan (RRP) to the Commission that allocates at least 20% of its budget to supporting the digital transition.

EU Blockchain Ecosystems Developments and Trends
