Hello,

date:  20/11/2020

Welcome to the latest edition of the CEF Building Block Bulletin.

The Digital Innovation Challenge has announced the final winners! In first place, CleverBooks won a grand total of €50,000. Their platform leverages Augmented Reality technology to change education for the better throughout Europe. Our congratulations also go to second- and third-place runners-up, Latitudo40 and OpenContent, who won €20,000 and €10,000 respectively.

In this week's newsletter, we look at how the the CEF building blocks are laying the foundations for Smart Cities to flourish throughout Europe. Joao Rodrigues Frade, Head of Sector for the CEF building blocks, presented the Context Broker and Big Data Test Infrastructure (BDTI) at FIWARE's Smart Cities day, showing how they help different sectors and cities share and leverage the power of big open data. We also take you through all the different online services you can now access throughout Europe by identifying yourself electronically thanks to the eID building block.

Be sure not to miss the last joint Context Broker and BDTI webinar of the year on 24/11, summing up what these building blocks can do to help create Smart Cities. The eInvoicing Open Session on private sector and SME onboarding will also take place on 24/11.

The eArchiving webinar on the e-ARK web user interface guide, which was going to take place on 26/11, has been postponed.
