Welcome to the latest edition of the CEF Building Blocks Bulletin.

This week's edition announces the opening of the first 2020 CEF calls for proposals for grant funding. Over €10 million is available for the CEF Building Blocks. This is part of a grand total of €31.4 million available until 12 May 2020, supporting critical digital infrastructure in Europe.

Tomorrow (11 March) is the 2020-1 CEF Telecom call virtual Info Day. Anyone interested in CEF grant funding should register. You can better understand the call’s strategic objectives, as well as tips and tricks on how to apply successfully. If you cannot attend, there will be a recording posted on the event page. Details in the events section below!

Over €10 million available to deploy CEF Building Blocks

This call offers co-funding to stimulate and support the deployment of the eTranslation (€4 million), Blockchain (€3 million), eDelivery (€0.9 million), eID & eSignature (€3 million) Building Blocks. This call closes on 12 May 2020.

Digital Innovation Challenge for SMEs: Registration closed

We invited Europe's Digital SMEs and startups to innovate and grow their business based on our open and reusable solutions. 48 businesses have taken on this challenge to win up to €50 000 and a chance to get visibility for their work throughout Europe.

CEF eArchiving Webinar on CSIP, slides and Q&A published

Common Specification for Information Packages (CSIP) are a unified set of rules for packaging any data and metadata into a single conceptual package that can be seamlessly transferred between systems, preserved and reused in the long term.

CEF eInvoicing: CEN/TC 434 validation artefacts release 1.3.1.

Release 1.3.1 contains the Schematron for artefact validation in source code, pre-processed (.sch) and pre-compiled (.xslt) formats

Update to CEF-managed eInvoicing code lists

We have added one new code to the Electronic Address Scheme code list, namely new code ICD 0194. All codes listed in the VATEX code list are now available in upper case.
