The EU STEPs up for defence! On 22 April 2025, the Commission proposed to extend STEP’s scope with a 4th sector covering all defence technologies, as part of a broader ReArm package. Negotiations in the European Parliament and the Council are expected to start soon to make this a reality. Learn more about the proposal and changes for STEP below.
