The SUMMA go-live across the Commission and its executive agencies in January 2025 marked the start of a new era in EU financial management. Eighteen months on, and with 23 new EU entities successfully onboarded, SUMMA is delivering the benefits of a modern, secure and resilient financial platform – and the momentum continues to grow.

The EU STEPs up for defence! On 22 April 2025, the Commission proposed to extend STEP’s scope with a 4th sector covering all defence technologies, as part of a broader ReArm package. Negotiations in the European Parliament and the Council are expected to start soon to make this a reality. Learn more about the proposal and changes for STEP below.
