Die Teilnehmer der 9. Tagung der NLR vom 15. bis 17. November 2017 in Nikosia (Zypern) berieten über gemeinsame Maßnahmen und die Einführung innovativer Instrumente für die Kontaktpflege mit dem und durch das ENRD. Im Anschluss fand ein Seminar zum Thema soziale Inklusion in ländlichen Gebieten statt.
Die Tagungsteilnehmer aus 21 Ländern einigten sich auf vereinfachte Verfahren zur Erhebung von Netzwerkstatistiken und zum Austausch über thematische Initiativen sowie auf den zukünftigen Ansatz für die Ermittlung und Darstellung von Praxisbeispielen. Die Beratungen über gemeinsame Projekte und Vernetzung in Sachen Innovation, Verträglichkeitsnachweis für den ländlichen Raum und Kommunikation wurden fortgesetzt.
Auf dem Seminar zum Thema soziale Inklusion wurde hervorgehoben, dass Arbeitslosigkeit und Armut grundsätzlich zur Ausgrenzung führen. Besonders betroffen seien unter anderem Migranten, Senioren und Roma. Die Seminarteilnehmer erarbeiteten neue Methoden der Inklusionsförderung und schlugen Maßnahmen zur Erhöhung der Attraktivität des ländlichen Raums für junge Menschen, zur Stärkung der unternehmerischen Kompetenz, zur Imageaufwertung des ländlichen Raums und zur besseren Kommunikation über die Attraktivität ländlicher Gebiete vor.
