Highlights

  • EU milk deliveries in Jan. – Nov. 2021 decreased by -0.2% (+0.1% leap year adjusted)
  • Decreases of milk products production in Jan.-Nov. 2021: butter (-2.3%), SMP (-5.6%), WMP (-10.6%), fermented milk (-2.1%), concentrated milk (-1.8%) and drinking milk (-0.7%) and increases for: cheese (+2.1%) and cream (+2.7%).
  • EU butter prices: 573 €/100 kg, +1.6% up in last 4 weeks;
  • EU SMP prices: 344 €/100 kg, +3.3% up in last 4 weeks;
  • EU WMP prices: 431 €/100 kg, +4.6% up in last 4 weeks;
  • EU cheddar prices: 339 €/100 kg, +0.3% up in last 4 weeks;
  • Increase of feed costs (+0.9%) and energy costs (+6.2%) in week 3 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
  • IT spot milk price stable at 44 c/kg. (23/01/2022);
  • Now, Oceania is more price competitive on butter and WMP, while the EU is more competitive on SMP and cheddar;
