Upgrading a sheep farm and opening of a farm shop by a Maltese young farmer.
A Maltese young farmer took over his father’s sheep farm which produces cheese in order to preserve local traditions. He has incorporated new and innovative ideas in the production and marketing process, such as installing solar panels to generate renewable energy and carrying out lab tests to improve the nutritional value of its products. He has introduced newer products, including sheeps’ milk ice-cream, where the farm is the first local producer in Malta.
The farm shop is now open to customers who can see the cheese making process while they shop for genuine local products directly from the farmer.
