More budget and more opportunities for the European Solidarity Corps

no teaser

date:  07/06/2017

On 30 May the European Commission proposed a new legal framework for the European Solidarity Corps, together with a budget for the next three years: 341.5 million EUR will be available for 2018-2020. Together with this, we also want to introduce more activities.

As well as individual volunteering, traineeship and job placements, in the future the European Solidarity Corps will also offer volunteering in teams of up to 40 Solidarity Corps participants, local solidarity projects set up by small groups of participants, and networking activities to build the European Solidarity Corps community.

The Commission's proposal needs the agreement of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU before it can enter into force. Until the proposal is agreed, the European Solidarity Corps will work in the same way as it does now. And when the new setup is in place, we will inform you about all the changes and when the new opportunities will start.

See a short explanation of the new proposal here.
