This month’s issue analyses first sales of European lobster in Denmark, France and Ireland, and deep-water rose shrimp in Italy, Portugal and Spain. Over the 36-month observation period (September 2021 – August 2024), the weighted average first-sales price of European lobster in France was 26,18 EUR/kg, 14% more than the price in Denmark (22,88 EUR/kg) and 42% more than the price in Ireland (18,42 EUR/kg).

During the same period, the weighted average first-sales price of deep-water rose shrimp in Portugal was 12,65 EUR/kg, 160% higher than in Italy (4,86 EUR/kg) and 40% higher compared to Spain (9,04 EUR/kg). The case studies of this month are: “Fisheries and Aquaculture in Australia” and “Haddock in the EU”.
