This December, the H2020 PROMETHEUS project has received the Trophée de l'Europe prize with the special mention of the jury. This trophy has been created and is managed by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation since 2013. It aims to honor and promote the European commitment of teams of researchers who have distinguished themselves by the success of their projects. It rewards the coordinators of European research and innovation projects, supported by a French structure.

The ceremony, which took place on December 6 at Quai Branly Jacques Chirac Museum in Paris, rewarded twelve of the seventy initial candidates, chosen by an independent jury.

This prize highlights PROMETHEUS for its research and standardisation activities on post-quantum cryptography. It has also recognized the way it has encouraged, by its example, French teams to respond in ever greater numbers to calls to proposals from the European framework programme. By such recognition, the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation considers that the PROMETHEUS project has perfectly strengthened the influence of France in Europe and internationally."
