Poland: Free COVID-19 vaccines for foreigners

Title

All foreigners residing in Poland will have the legally-recognised right to be vaccinated against COVID-19 free of charge, said Head of the Prime Minister's Office, MichaB Dworczyk.

In order to receive the vaccination it will be enough for those concerned to provide evidence of their legal stay in Poland, such as a temporary or permanent residence card. It will not be necessary to present any additional documents, such as work permits or certificates of study in Poland, as this would potentially exclude those in the country legally who did not come for work or study. Persons who are not insured by the Polish National Health Fund are also entitled to a free vaccination.

The vaccine itself is voluntary. Anyone who wants to take advantage of the vaccination service must sign up for it themselves. Priority is given to health care workers, employees of nursing homes and social assistance centres, seniors, representatives of uniformed services and teachers.
