Nesen Eiropas Komisija lūdza savu neatkarīgo Patrētāju drošības zinātniskā komiteju (PDZK) sniegt atzinumu par to, vai silīcija dioksīds, hidratēts silīcija dioksīds un silīcija dioksīds, kas virspusēji izmainīts ar alkilsililātiem (nano formas) ir nekaitīgi. Šādi nanomateriāli tiek izmantoti ilgāk uz virsmas atstājamai vai uzreiz nomazgājamai kosmētikai, kas paredzēta matiem, ādai, lūpām, sejai un nagiem.

Komisija aicina PDZK sniegt atzinumu, vai ir pamats bažām par veselības un drošības apdraudējumu ne pārtikai domātās plašpatēriņa precēs, tostarp kosmētikā un tās sastāvdaļās. Eiropas Savienībā jebkād [...]
