Sigma - the bulletin of European statistics is a statistical magazine published by Eurostat. It targets a general audience interested in European statistics. Each issue deals with a specific statistical theme, from many different angles: interesting conferences or meetings, groups and organisations, everyday statistical work in Eurostat or the national statistical institutes of the European Union (EU) Member States and candidate countries, EFTA Member States and other partners in the European statistical system (ESS), methodological questions, ...
Many interesting Sigma articles were integrated in Statistics Explained and used for background articles.
