The statistical territory of the European Union (EU), in the context of international trade in goods statistics, corresponds to the combined customs territories of the EU Member States with one exception — the statistical territory of Germany includes Heligoland but the customs territory does not.

Note that the statistical territories of France and Spain include respectively the French overseas departments (Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique and Reunion since 1 January 2007; Mayotte since 1 January 2014) and the Canary Islands (since 1 January 2007).
