Internet use is the number of people accessing the internet, usually expressed as a proportion of the population.

In the context of the survey on internet use within households, an internet user is defined as someone who has used the internet within the last three months, while a regular internet user is defined as someone who has used the internet at least once a week within the reference period of the survey (the first three months of the calendar year), regardless of where they do so.
