Finished product - The term finished product means any product which in the production process has reached an appropriate level of workmanship and in the Nomenclature of industrial products, is listed under a separate title, with code and unit of measurement. Sold production - production that is sold (invoiced) during the reporting period regardless of the time period when production is realized. Total realized production - total realized production in the reporting period, whether sold, whether it is in stock or used for further processing. |

The observation units are the enterprises and the lokal KAUs classified in sections B - Minning and quarrying, C - Manufacturing industry and D - Elecricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply of NACE Rev.2, excluding Group 35.3 (Steam and air conditioning supply). With Monthly survey for industry are collected 500 units. |

Individual data are protected by the Law on State Statistics. Data collected with statistical surveys from the reporting units or indirectly from administrative or other sources are confidential data and are used only for statistical purposes. Results from the statistical processing may also generate information considered as confidential, for example: anonymised individual data, tables with low level of aggregation, as well as unreleased data. All individual or personal data, in each phase of statistical processing, are treated as confidential data and may be used only for statistical purposes. When releasing data from this survey at an aggregated level, there is no need for additional data treatment for the purpose of ensuring confidentiality. |

Data are released in accordance with the Release Calendar, which is published on the web site of the State Statistical Office. The Release Calendar is prepared annually before the beginning of each year and is updated quarterly. |

According to the Law on State Statistics (Article 41) and the Policy on Access to Anonymised Microdata for scientific purposes, data collected for the purpose of official statistics may be used for scientific purposes if there is no risk of direct or indirect identification, i.e. disclosure of data individuality. Access to microdata is possible only in the safe room at the SSO, based on a submitted and approved request and a signed agreement. |

The indices of industrial production are used by different governmental departments, to monitor the economic situation in the country. |

The State Statistical Office conducts the User Satisfaction Survey at the domain level. This Survey is conducted every three years and the last one was in 2017. |

The monthly survey of the industrial production is based on the EUROSTAT's recommendations in "Methodology for short-term business statistics" which is harmonized with Regulation (EU)2019/2152 of the European Parlament and of the Council on European business statistics and Commission Implementing Regulation 1197/2020. |

Data accuracy is ensured by working on decreasing sampling and/or non-sampling errors, as well as with additional data comparisons and analysis before dissemination. |

The survey is conducted on purposefully selected sample and there is no measurement of sampling errors. |

Unit non - response: Reporting units which have not submit the fulfiled questionnaire on time are contacted by phone. Item non - response: Respondents that haven't submited completed questionaires, i.e. item non - response, are contacted by phone for retrieving the needed item. The results are not biased due to response rate. |

Industrial production index untill 2000 was collected according Unique classification of activity - EKD and Nomenclature of industrial products and from 2001 according National Classification of Activities - NKD based on NACE Rev.1 and National nomenclature of industrial products - NNIP based on PRODCOM List. Time series since 2000 (2015=100) are based on NACE Rev.2. No breaks in the series. |

In the questionairres sent to the reporting units we have included the question for the time needed for fulfilling the questionairre with the needed data, aiming to have feedback information on the burden on the respondents. |

In accordance with the Statistical Data Revision Policy. When data were revised (mostly with new base year) in the same time they are published nationaly on the web site and send to Eurostat. There is no revision calendar. |

Monthly data were published as final. Revision of data is done by changing the base year and by changes in the nomenclatures. The Mean Absolute Revision (MAR) and Mean Revision (MR) for undajusted and calendar adjusted data are zero. |

Data sources for compilation of Industrial production index are the results from the Monthly survey for industry IND.1: for industrial production, stocks and employees in industry. Survey is based on sample according to the criteria of value added and number of employees (cut-off sample survey). The sample is revised every year. |

Data are collected monthly. |

In the data collection process the reporting method is used. Reporting units submit the "Monthly Report on Industry" (IND.1) to the State Statistical Office within a certain period, in accordance with the Statistical Research Program in the country for a given year. |

Validation of data is done in accordance with the defined control criteria. Validation of the data is performed before and after entering. For the deviations the respondents are contacted. Validation is perfoming and on the produced indexes prior to their publication. |

Editing: The received data from the businesses, after their verification and eventual correction in consultation with the reporting units, are entered on an electronic medium through the application that has embedded on-line controls. |

For SA JDemetra + seasonal model was used. Automatic model for filter selection was used. Every month SA was used from the beginning of the seria. Data were consistent among the different levels of breakdowns. |
