Data collection on Dublin statistics contains statistical information based on the Article 4.4 of Regulation (EC) No 862/2007 on Community statistics on migration and international protection.

  • Incoming ‘Dublin’ requests by submitting country (PARTNER), type of request, legal provision, sex and type of applicant (RI)
  • Outgoing ‘Dublin’ requests by receiving country (PARTNER), type of request, legal provision, sex and type of applicant (RO)

In the Republic of Latvia for all tables the statistical unit is persons, except for the tables "Incoming and Outgoing information requests" where it is “cases”.

In overall accuracy of data is good.

For the technical reasons TPENI data is not available.

The Dublin registration process within case processing system does not currently provide sufficient data in order to compile TPENI table. 

Number of persons.

Data are manually recorded/stored in the National register and then collected/processed from it.

In the Republic of Latvia, the authority responsible for examining Dublin requests and collecting Dublin statistics is the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. There are two officers in the Office who are responsible for examining incoming/outgoing Dublin requests and one of them is collecting Dublin statistics. For more information see on the table 18.1. in annex ‘Quality report tables Dublin 2024’.

The first data can be reported in 30 days at the earliest after the end of the reference period.

The statistics are comparable between all regions of Latvia; there is only one national system of accumulating and processing the data.
