According to Article 3 (2) of the Commission Regulation (EC) No 862/2007, Statistics on international migration, usually resident population and acquisition of citizenship shall be supplied to the Commission (Eurostat) within 12 months of the end of the reference year. Statistics Denmark’s national releases about population and vital events are published about 5 weeks after the end of the reference period. The migration data for UNIDEMO is special. It calculates actual duration and therefore ideally need a whole year after the end of the reference period. In UNIDEMO data on migration is processed 11 months after in order to be ready in time for Eurostat. Using 11 months instead of 12 months has a very limited effect and is not considered a problem. |

The many international migrants from the Nordic countries does not need to have a residence permit and are subsequently not included in the residence permit statistics. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15.4. Coherence - internal | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The 30 day criteria is installed in order to include registrations that happen somewhat later than the day of occurrence. |
