2.3. Coverage - sector

The data covers the plant protection products used in the Agricultural sector.

The crops are selected based on the most relevant crops in Denmark in respect to the use of plant protection products. They are also selected in respect to the crops proposed by Eurostat for the next 5 year period.

The pesticide used in the reported crops, they cover roughly estimated almost 90 % of the pesticide load from the use of plant protection products.

2.3.1. Crops covered by the statistics

See the attached Excel file in the Annexes.

2.3.2. Commercial non-agricultural uses of pesticides

Information regarding the use of plant protection products used on public areas can be found here

2.4. Statistical concepts and definitions

The data reported are the quantity of each active substances listed in Annex III of Regulation 1185/2009 contained in plant protection products used on a selected crop, expressed in kg. The area treated with each substance are expressed in hectares.
