Data collection on intra-corporate transfers is based on Article 24 of Directive 2014/66/EU on the conditions of entry and residence of third-country nationals in the framework of an intra-corporate transfer.
The following datasets are collected under this framework:
Intra-corporate transferee permits issued, renewed and withdrawn by type of permit, length of validity and citizenship (migr_resict1_1);
Intra-corporate transferee permits issued by type of permit, economic sector and citizenship (migr_resict1_2);
Intra-corporate transferee permits issued by type of permit, length of validity, transferee position and citizenship (migr_resict1_3);
Intra-corporate notifications received by length of validity and citizenship (migr_resict2_1);
Intra-corporate notifications received by economic sector and citizenship (migr_resict2_2);
Permits for long-term mobility issued and notifications received by citizenship and first Member State of residence (migr_resict3).
Directive 2014/66/EU was transposed at national level on 27. 10. 2017 by:
the Act Amending the Aliens Act, which was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 59/17 of 27. 10. 2017 and entered into force on 11. 11. 2017 and became applicable on 1 January 2018;

Data on Intra-Corporate Transfers are based entirely on administrative source (Register of Foreigners). The Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia, which is responsible for production of data reported, ensures completeness and coherence of data (the data is prepared in compliance with the Council Regulation (EC) 862/2007 as amended by the Regulation 2020/851 and technical guidelines and instructions provided by Eurostat).
Before sending the data to Eurostat, consistent validation checks are performed (checks of total consistency, checks of magnitude of changes over time, checking the data integrity over each processing step, checking the links between different datasets (e.g. first permit vs. stock of permits).

The statistics collected under the Regulation 862/2007 are widely used in official publications and by a wide range of users at national, European and International level. The Residence permits statistics produced are regularly used by national administrations, academic researchers and civil society groups working on a wide range of topics including the integration of immigrants, the development and monitoring of national asylum and immigration procedures, and the projection of the future population and labour force.
At European level, the main users of Residence permits statistics are Eurostat and DG Migration and Home Affairs. These statistics are used in several publications of the Commission, as well as in the preparation of regular reports, policy proposals and analysis. The statistics also provide an input to the European Migration Network (EMN) studies and reports that address specific issues of current policy importance.

Data on Intra-Corporate Transfers is annually collected from administrative source (Register of Foreigners).
Single intra-corporate transferee permits are in the Register of Foreigners recorded under the reason/purpose of residence in the Republic of Slovenia: ICT. Permits for long-term mobility (A single intra-corporate transferee permits for the purpose of long-term transfer) are in the Register of Foreigners recorded under the reason/purpose of residence in the Republic of Slovenia: mobile ICT.
Since the reference year 2018 the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia sends these data which receives from the central record of residence permits and the termination of residence (Register of Foreigners) to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
Data provider (Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia) supply data to Eurostat in CSV format via the Single Entry Point (SEP) with eDamis.

Before providing the data to Eurostat, consistent validation checks are performed. Data on Intra-Corporate Transfers are validated through all processing steps. For example: checks of totals consistency; checks of magnitude of changes over time; using visual validation (visual verification of the tables or the graph resulted); checking the data integrity over each processing step; checking the consistency between datasets; checking the consistency between statistics by "reason" and statistics by "age" and "sex" categories.
