6.1. Institutional Mandate - legal acts and other agreements
National Statistics Act defines the role and co-operation of SURS and authorised producers concerning the organisation, preparation, execution of statistical programmes and reporting about them as well as respect of the fundamental principles, data dissemination and international co-operation.
Specific agreements are signed with data producing agencies, determining the procedures, deadlines etc. regarding data sharing and transmission.

Access is granted to authorized personnel of the Ministry of Interior and to system administrators only.
7.2. Confidentiality - data treatment
Access is granted according to the actual needs and personal clearances. It is possible only by personal usernames and passwords and logs are taken in order to control the access.
National release data is published online for the entire year ahead. Registered users (free registration online) can get an email on all the releases on the subjects they choose for the coming week. Users can also register to receive a link to new releases as they are published.
Dissemination format depends on the features of the EUROSTAT platform and it is beyond national responsibilty.

Data collection takes place in real time using computer application for the registration of migrants and respective process management. It implies safeguards to prevent human errors with validation rules, breakdowns, use of pre-defined lists and similar. Once the process is finished in desired quality, the data is entered into the central database.

Database validation rules are established and incorporated into the application. Technical features are not known to us. Database administrators would have additional information.
