6.1. Institutional Mandate - legal acts and other agreements
The Swedish Border Police and the Swedish Migration Agency are responsible by law to keep records of their activities, including actions taken in accordance with the Alien Act.
6.2. Institutional Mandate - data sharing
The statistics to complete the EIL report, and many other reports in this field, is collected from the Swedish Border Police and the Swedish Migration Agency. Cooperation and contacts between these agencies are frequent and well functioning.

Aggregated data from these agencies are not subject to confidentiality, in contrast to the personal information regarding concerned aliens.

Data can be requested by any person and there are no methods for the concerned agency to prevent usage and spreading this data to third parties.
