6.1. Institutional Mandate - legal acts and other agreements
The Act on International and Temporary Protection (Official Gazzette, Nos 70/15, 127/17, 33/23 and 17/25), defines the principles, conditions and procedures for the approval of international and temporary protection, as well as the status of applicants for and beneficiaries of international protection (asylum, subsidiary protection and temporary protection). It further regulates their rights and obligations.
This Act aligns Croatian legislation with the European Union directives.
We are using EUAA, EUROSTAT and FRONTEX regulations and guidelines in delivering statistics.
6.2. Institutional Mandate - data sharing
The Croatian Bureau of Statistics is the national statistical authority having the responsibility for coordinating all activities at national level for the development, production and dissemination of European statistics.
The Ministry of the Interior is the administrative source of statistics covered by the Regulation 862/2007 on Community Statistics on Migration and International Protection.
The Croatian Bureau of Statistics is the official contact point for Eurostat regarding the AMM statistics, and all datasets transferred to Eurostat are produced by the Ministry of the Interior.
7.1. Confidentiality - policy
The Croatian Bureau of Statistics, as the main producer, disseminator and coordinator of the official statistics system of the Republic of Croatia, continuously provides quality, objective and timely statistical data to all users, while applying the principle of statistical confidentiality as one of the fundamental principles of official statistics.

11.2. Quality management - assessment
DUBLIN statistics in Croatia are mainly based on administrative sources. The Republic of Croatia is following the requirements of the Regulation (EC) 862/2007 and the quality of the data may be assessed as Very good.
The data relevance can be assessed as Very good according to frequent informal and formal communication and feedback from users.
12.1. Relevance - User Needs
Produced statistics are regularly used by national administrations, academic researchers and civil society groups working on a wide range of topics including the integration of immigrants, the development and monitoring of national asylum and immigration procedures, and the projection of the future population and labour force.
At European level, the main users of these statistics are regularly Eurostat and DG Migration and Home Affairs. These statistics are used in several publications of the Commission, as well as in the preparation of regular reports, policy proposals and analysis. The statistics also provide an input to the European Migration Network (EMN) studies and reports that address specific issues of current policy importance.
