Dr. Daniel Lešinský is a board member of the Pesticides Action Network (PAN - Europe) since 2006, the main mission of PAN – Europe is to eliminate or minimize negative impacts of pesticides in agriculture, gardening as well as in food production and consumption. We work in different areas – legislation, advocacy, information and practice at European as well as at national levels.  Daniel is a chair person of Centre for Sustainable Alternatives based in Slovakia. He finished university studies on ecology and environmental sciences on 1999 and his PhD on eco-toxicology and biodegradation of materials on 2003. Since 2003 he works also on agriculture policy issues and coordinates the national Slovak NGO platform for sustainable agriculture Agro-eko forum. Since 2005 he organizes number of life-long education courses for farmers focusing on agro-environmental measures, organic farming and integrated production. Finally, he is a member of the Monitoring committee of Slovak Rural Development Program 2007-2013 promoting a bit more sustainable distributing of EU subsidies for agriculture, food production and forestry in Slovakia.

Could be pesticides used in sustainable way? How much costs us pesticides use, what does it mean a good integrated production scheme and what an effective National action plan on pesticides use; we will look for answers.
