Who's Who > National/Regional Rural Networks

Introduction

The National Rural Networks (NRNs) provide an important link at Member State level between the national administrations, organisations, and the Local Action Groups. Their structure and organisation may differ although in all cases their main role is to support the implementation and evaluation of rural development policy.

  • National Rural Networks work to an agreed work plan, and bring together a variety of rural stakeholders, to ensure a good level of communication both at regional, national and European level.

  • National Rural Networks also organise events and produce a variety of communication tools such as guides and events calendars, and have an important role in identifying and disseminating good practice.
