The global aim of the development partnership is an improvement in the
situation of citizens with a health disability when entering or
returning to the job market in the area of Target 3, i.e., in Prague.
The project aim is, in compliance with the principles and horizontal
themes of EQUAL, to contribute to an improvement in the unfavourable
development of employment of citizens with a health disability. The
attempt to resolve this problem using new approaches in cooperation with
the target groups lead to the creation of a development partnership
bringing together the representatives of the target groups, employers,
experts and subjects with extensive experience with dissemination and
mainstreaming. The primary target group of the project consists of
citizens with physical, hearing, sight and other disabilities.

The working programme of the 11-member development partnership will
focus primarily on the following:
•discovering causes and designating factors which influence the
unemployment rate of citizens with a health disability – series of
analyses and investigations,
•creation of specialised interactive web
portal for brokering suitable employment opportunities for employers and
citizens with a health disability,
•creation of register of job
seekers,
•establishment of new methodologies of comprehensive advice
for advisors in the field of employing citizens with a health disability
in Prague,
•reinforcing the network of specialised advice units for
citizens with a health disability with focus on the issue of employment,
•adding new employment positions suitable for those with health disabilities
to the catalogue of work (with regard to the development of technologies
and new needs of employers),
•developing and testing pilot education
projects for new working positions especially suitable for those with
health disabilities,
•influencing the public and those who are
competent in the field of the issue of employing citizens with a health
disability,
•informing employers in Prague of regulations and
practical experience in the field of employing citizens with a health
disability,
•exchange of information and experience with partners in
the TCA (France, the Netherlands, Great Britain),
•issuing
publications about the results of DPA and TCA.

The diversity of the DP's activities will strengthen the scope of the
co-operation and enable the use of the various tools and cultural and
professional experiences, which lead to a comprehensive and knowledge
based solution of the common theme- increasing employability of people
with disabilities. Whatever these differences are, all DP's wish to make
a contribution towards the improvement in the (supported) employment of
people with disabilities in their respective countries.
