7% of the young people have an intelectual restriction and follow special education to a school for practical training. More former research has shown that 47% of these young people have also a chronic disorder. Generally thsi is not known at schools, doctors and accompaniment services. There recording hardly takes place. This comorbidity is not taken into account in the education - training period - and labour market situation.

Objective

Research acquires to the prevalence of comorbidity at young people with an intellectual restriction, improvement of the recording of comorbidity on schools. Development of criteria. Development of medical, labour-expert and pedagogical methods, to content more account with double handicaps in the lesson - training period- and work situtation with the result that inequality for is slightly rationally disableds who step to the labour market sopts. Embedding of the method at education (PRO and Pabo), businesses, medical en accompaniment organisations.

Het project beoogt om diverse sectoren te koppelen die ieder een eigen invalshoek hebben. Grenzenoverstijgend multisectoraal, medische, psychologische, onderwijskundige (VO en MBO), arbeidskundige en wetenschappelijke invalshoeken worden volledig gecombineerd en geïntegreerd. Deze multi-sectorale aanpak is niet eerder gehanteerd. Er is voor deze doelgroep geen methodiek om hen adequaat op te leiden en toe te leiden naar de arbeidsmarkt. Door REC3 en REC4 ontwikkelde methodieken voor jongeren met lichamelijke of gedragsproblemen worden gecombineerd met methodieken van de PRO-scholen, voor jongeren met een verstandelijke beperking en REC 1 en 2 leerlingen.

Empowerment is an important objective of the project in execution and in organisation. The partners in the projectgroup are directly able to send and exert influence on the policy and the progress of the project. The partners in the workinggroups determine directly the implementation of the project. In the Projectgroup and implementation the target group has been respresented indirectly by two schools and directly by the importance association Singelier / Balans. At the implementation recommendations wil be made to attitude and behaviour change and policy modifications for actors in education and accompaniment institutions.

Between national partners

The promotion of individual empowerment is an important objective in execution, organisation, research and the method. The research and the method are also targeted on giving young people themselves the responsibility and impart independence to make choices for their own future. In the implementation contact will become made with young people with double handicaps to let themself by means of interview work to the outcomes of the project. The participants will be involved in pilotgroups in the implementation and evaluation. Old students are put in contact with participants form the target group, in that way mutually they learn from eachother. Employers get influence on the implementation of the project.

Prevention en prevalation

Rationale

7% van de jongeren heeft een verstandelijke beperking en volgt speciaal onderwijs aan een school voor praktijkonderwijs. Eerder onderzoek heeft aangetoond dat 47% van deze jongeren tevens een chronische aandoening heeft. Ove rhet algemeen is dit niet bekend bij de scholen, artsen en begeleidingsdiensten. Er vindt nauwelijks registratie plaats. Er wordt geen rekening gehouden met deze comorbiditeit in de onderwijs-, stage- en arbeidsmarktsituatie.

Objective

Onderzoek doen naar de prevalentie van comorbiditeit bij jongeren met een verstandelijke beperking. Verbetering van de registratei van comorbiditeit op scholen. Ontwikken van criteria. Ontwikkelen van methodieken op medisch, arbeidsdeskundig en pedagogisch gebeid om in de les-, stage- en werkstituatie meer rekening te houden met dubbele beperking waardoor ongelijkheid bij licht verstandelijk gehandicapten die toe treden tot de arbeidsmarkt wordt opgeheven. Inbedding van de methodiek bij onderwijs (PRO en PABO) , bedrijfsleven, medische en begeleidingsorganisaties.

With beneficiaries

Empowerment is een belangrijke doelstelling van het project in uitvoering en in organisatie. De partners zullen in een stuurgroep direct kunnen sturen en invloed uitoefenen op het beleid en de voortgang van het project. De partners zullen in de werkgroep(en) direct de uitvoering van het project mee bepalen. In de Stuurgroep en uitvoering is de doelgroep indirect vertegenwoordigd door twee scholen en direct door de belangenvereniging Singelier / Balans. Bij de implementatie zullen aanbevelingen gedaan worden ten aanzien van houding- en gedragsverandering en beleidswijzigingen voor actoren in onderwijs en begeleidingsinstellingen.

Het bevorderen van individuele empowerment is een belangrijke doelstelling in uitvoering, organisatie, onderzoek en de methodiek. Het onderzoek en de methodiek zijn er mede op gericht jongeren zelf de verantwoordelijkheid en zelfstandigheid bij te brengen om keuzes te maken voor hun eigen toekomst. In de uitvoering zal contact gelegd worden met jongeren met een dubbele beperking om hen zelf door middel van interviews mee te laten werken aan de uitkomsten van het project. De deelnemers zullen in een pilotgroep betrokken worden bij de uitvoering van de evaluatie. Oud-leerlingen worden in contact gebracht met deelnemers uit de doelgroep om zo onderling van elkaar te leren. Werkgevers krijgen invloed op de uitvoering van het project.
