What will the Thematic Workshops achieve?

The thematic workshops will feed the elaboration of views and orientations on the major challenges affecting AHA in the framework of the European Union policy priorities and notably the transformation of health and care in the Digital Single Market through. They will:

  • showcase the value of the Partnership in supporting the adoption and scaling up of digital innovation for AHA across the EU.
  • provide inputs for the progress of the cross-cutting initiatives embedded under the EIP on AHA – namely Blueprint, I2M and MAFEIP.
  • reflect on ambitions and expectations of the EIP on AHA Partners beyond 2020.
  • highlight good examples of an Action Group result being validated or rolled out in a Reference Site regional context.
  • identify the main challenges and priorities for regional AHA innovation ecosystems and determine how Reference Sites can cope with/implement those.

Impact of COVID-19

Applicants for the 2018 and 2019 calls for Thematic Workshops were able to carry out face to face workshops and received a maximum 5,000 EUR. Due to the ongoing pandemic and the difficulty to travel for most parts of Europe, the 2020 Thematic Workshops will be carried out online. As a result of this decision, the WE4AHA project, in agreement with the European Commission have decided to fund an additional 11 Thematic Workshops. Each successful applicant will receive up to 1,000 EUR to carry out their online event.

More information will follow on the timetable of Thematic Workshops and how you can get involved. Meanwhile, to keep up to date with news and events related to the EIP on AHA:
