Philippe Donnet is the Group CEO of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. since March 2016.
He joined Generali in October 2013 as Country Manager Italy and CEO of Generali Italia S.p.A. In this role, he spearheaded the merging of the existing Generali brands in Italy, one of the most challenging integration and simplification projects in the European insurance industry.
Philippe Donnet graduated from the École Polytechnique in Paris in 1983 with a degree in Engineering and completed his studies at the French Actuary Institute (Institut des Actuaires) in 1991. Between 1985 and 2007, he held various positions within the AXA Group, most recently serving as Regional CEO Asia Pacific, Singapore. In 2007, he became the Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Wendel Investissements, Singapore. In 2010, he co-founded the investment management company HLD in Paris.
