Users will be able to use it to authenticate digitally when logging into both public and private online services across the EU, or authorise online transactions, in particular where strong user authentication is required. Examples could include accessing a bank account, initiating a payment or applying for a loan, submitting tax declarations, enrolling for a university, etc.
