You will be able to use it to identify digitally for public and private online services across the EU wherever this is necessary. You will also be able to sign digital documents (such as an employment or rental contract). In addition you will be able to share digital documents about yourself, such as educational or professional certificates, or hold a digital driving licence or a digital visa (Digital Travel Credential) in your wallet.
You will be able to download, store and use basic personal data and digital documents or credentials in digital form very much like today in your physical wallet or briefcase.
