Conformance and connectivity testing updates | The conformance test platform was updated to cover additional tests for the ENTSOG usage profile. Flame was the first solution provider to be listed as passing these tests and the other interested solution providers are welcome to contact us to start testing as well. AS4.NET performed a new conformance test run to validate their latest version. Advalvas successfully completed the AS4 conformance tests. Several other solutions providers are ongoing in their AS4 conformance testing process.
INEA calls for proposals | The most recent round of INEA grants relevant to eDelivery users closed on 14/05/2019. Following a question of Sander Fieten Maarten DANIELS confirmed that if a grant receiver uses a eDelivery conformant solution, he does not need to repeat the conformance testing. Only connectivity testing. Moreover Maarten clarified that, unless specified otherwise in the grant agreement, executing the static connectivity testing should suffice as a proof of a operating an AS4 Access Point (and highlighted that INEA is the only authoritative source deciding on the grant actions).

Directory services | Maarten DANIELS informed the forum that a project initiation request has been submitted to DG CNECT such that they analyse where and when the Directory Service revision can be followed up in the most efficient way. A webinar with the Informal Cooperation Network for eDelivery on CEF awarded projects took place on 28/02/2019: Event: Webinar with the Informal Cooperation Network for eDelivery - CEF awarded projects Sander FIETEN stated that a generic solution would be difficult to work, the perspective should be allowing each domain to have its customizable solution. Maarten DANIELS replied that this will require a more in-depth analysis to assess the appropriate way forward. Sander FIETEN asked if the expert community would be involved in this venture. Maarten DANIELS stated that the decision regarding the Directory services will be taken by DG CNECT.

Support of (very) large files in eDelivery | Following the public consultation to update the eDelivery AS4 profile to optionally support very large files (over 2 GB) via the split and join feature of ebMS 3, some open points remain undecided. The main open point is how non repudiation on the full message can be ensured. The next step is that an independent expert on cryptography will be consulted to analyse and close this point.
