Conformance and connectivity testing updates

MD stated that:

  • Seeburger is connecting to the test platform
  • An additional user registered for AS4 conformance testing (Data Interchange)
  • The ENTSOG optional test cases are being implemented
Pull planning

MD stated that:

A public consultation on the proposed Pull specifications is finalised since 31/08/18.
1) The eDelivery AS4 specifications are updated with an optional Pull module (no other impact for the current specifications) and are expected to be released mid-October.
2) Subsequently we will be releasing a Domibus version (the sample AS4 implementation developed by our team) that fully supports the Pull functionality. This is assigned to Domibus version 4.1 for which the release date will be defined by a public consultation.
3) We plan to add the Pull testing to our Conformance Testing service. This is planned in Q4 2018.

Support of (very) large files in eDelivery

The current practical limitation of sending large files via AS4 is +- 2GB (theoretically there is no limitation, but the current technological components that solutions are built on, typically support +- 2GB).
A public consultation will soon be held to update the eDelivery AS4 profile to optionally support very large files (over 2 GB) via the split and join feature of ebMS 3.

Collaboration with OpenPEPPOL

The collaboration between the eDelivery team and the OpenPEPPOL team in the context of the PEPPOL AS2 to AS4 migration is ongoing.
An important milestone is the availability of an Oxalis version with multiprotocol support for both AS2 and AS4 through an easy upgrade process for existing installations.

eDelivery components

The final release of Domibus 4.0 was released on 21/09/18
The main feature of this release is Multi-tenancy support, details on more features and bug fixes can be found via https://ec.europa.eu/digital-building-blocks/sites/display/DIGITAL/Domibus+releases
The next planned release is Domibus version 4.1 for which a public consultation will be held to schedule the release candidate and final release dates.
A release candidate for SMP 4.1 is planned on 30/10/18.

eDelivery reuse

The EUDAMED (European Database on Medical Devices) is planning to re-use eDelivery AS4 in production during 2019. This is an opportunity for solution providers that are offering AS4 software or services. More detailed information will be provided in an upcoming interoperability forum meeting.

Informal Cooperation Network for eDelivery

We are planning to launch 2 activities with the Informal Cooperation Network for eDelivery until the end of the year:

• Webinar with Informal Cooperation Network for eDelivery members (and extended relevant colleagues). This webinar will be an opportunity for members to prepare "Show and Tell" presentations to share eDelivery national implementation plans and hands-on experience. Additionally, we will lead a discussion about the proposed work to be carried out by the network until the f2f workshop to be held in November 2018 (i.e. creation of a roadmap for eDelivery implementation at national levels) and afterwards (plans to allow cross-border exchanges).
• Workshop with the Informal Cooperation Network for eDelivery. This workshop will be an opportunity to finalise and present the work done by the network on the creation of a roadmap for eDelivery implementation at national levels. We will additionally propose to invite two members to present on their eDelivery national infrastructure and plans to allow cross-border exchanges.
