Conformance Testing

  • MD informed that an update to the SMP test assertions has been posted for review on the CEF collaborative space (SMP Test Assertions). In summary, the change was the addition of some optional case sensitivity test assertions as defined in the the OASIS SMP specifications.
  • SF asked whether these changes were a result of the test run against Philip Helger's SMP implementation and MD answered confirmed this.
  • MD reported that Philip Helger's SMP implementation (phoss SMP) passed all the SMP test cases and is now the first conformant OASIS SMP solution.
  • NP asked if the SMP conformance test service can also be used to test SMP implementations that follow the PEPPOL specifications. MD responded that although both specifications are similar, there are several differences betweem the OASIS and the PEPPOL SMP specifications. As a result, the SMP conformance test service cannot be used for PEPPOL SMP implementations.
  • DH and NP expressed their interest in knowing if it would be necessary for every Access Point that has SMP capabilities to undertake additional SMP testing. MD responded that this is not needed for the moment as long as the business domain that the Access Point operates in does not require an SMP to be conformant to the OASIS SMP specifications. PH added that the PEPPOL network is analysing the switch to the OASIS SMP specifications and indicated that this topic would be further discussed in the upcoming PEPPOL F2F Workshop.
  • MD informed about two new registrations in the AS4 conformance testing service:
    • ADES.
    • AS4.NET an open source .net implementation resulting from the EESSI project of DG EMPL.
  • MD informed the participants that RSSBus was progressing on the testing.
  • MD reported that several bugs to the Minder conformance test platform are reported on the e-SENS JIRA instance so the Tubitak team can analyse and fix them.
  • MD reported that once he gets the confirmation and documentation for Minder 2.0, he will test the upgrade from Minder 1.6.1 to Minder 2.0.

e-SENS specifications

  • PVDE and SF reported version 1.10 of the e-SENS AS4 specifications already includes the solution for two change requests and that for the other change requests (including a change request on the content-id relevant to the Mendelson conformance testing) currently some discussions are ongoing for which a solution is soon to be expected.

Update on the Task Force on eDelivery

  • NP informed the participants that for the Y4 eDelivery Task Force, the idea discussed internally in e-SENS was to see if the budget from WP 6 could be re-allocated to shift some budget to the Task Force. He further stated that the scope of the Task Force would be smaller than initially planned because of these budgetary issues. A document would be prepared to define the scope of this Task Force so the budget estimation can be done accurately. NP stressed that the budget issue might also prevent other potentially interested vendors in participating. NP stated that it would be useful for CEF to have a discussion with eSENS to try to overcome this budget issue and widen the scope of the Task Force.
  • MD asked if there were already concrete participants that would like to join. NP answered that he had in between two and three new participants interested. In order to enable the participation of all the service providers, he stressed that funding should be granted to all of them.

5. AOB

  • MD informed that the eSENS - CEF eDelivery interoperability forum meeting of 30/11 will be cancelled as most of the members are participating to the CEF eDelivery Stakeholder Days on that day.
