How can you ensure that the industry will get involved in the development and the evolutive maintenance of these software components as defined by the CEF eDelivery specifications and how will you preserve the interests of the customers (companies or Member States)?

- CEF eDelivery wasn’t the instigator of the definition of these specifications.
- By contrast, CEF eDelivery has selected specifications that were developed and used in European Large Scale Pilots (LSPs) that were led by companies, public administrations or research institutes from the Member States.
- In order to ensure the stability and the evolution of these specifications after the completion of these Large Scale Pilots, CEF eDelivery took the maintenance and the promotion of these specifications over.
- By promoting proven and open specifications, CEF eDelivery is ensuring that the industry’s solutions are interoperable and that users of these solutions are not limited to the products of one or a small group of suppliers.
