Dear EMSFEI members,

At the latest meeting of the extended Advisory Group on  to validate the eInvoicing self-assessment, we reported that the 2016 'State of play of B2G eInvoicing in public procurement' Report is in the final stages of being approved by the European Commission. As part of this analysis, 12 high-level 'country sheets' have been created, which contain national information about eInvoicing, based on the following headings:

  • Summary
  • Policy Frameworks (including Legislation & syntaxes, where relevant)
  • eInvoicing platform
  • Approach for receiving and processing electronic invoices

The national country sheets are availble for your review, modification, where appropriate, and approval. Please note that your country sheet was compiled based the response to an online survey and subsequently validated based by desk research to build up as accurate a picture as possible. Please provide feedback on your own national country sheets using the the comments' tracking function over specific text or in the comments' section of the country sheet page. Alternatively, if you would like to review the document more thoroughly, please do not hesitate to contact us to obtain an editable file.

Please note that this request should support you for agenda point of the next EMSFEI meeting on 'Sharing experience on e-invoicing at national level: tour de table'. Therefore, we would be very grateful to receive your verification, modification of, or input for your national country sheets by  to enable us to present your sheet at the EMSFEI meeting on 21 October and publish the 'first versions' of these sheets by early November.

Next steps:

At the eInvoicing stakeholder meeting at the end of November in Brussels, we will dedicate a session to obtain your input on the scope of the 2017 'State of play of B2G eInvoicing in public procurement' for eInvoicing. The purpose of this workshop will be to suggest ideas to expand on the information currently available for each country sheet and identify the broadest range of stakeholders to inform about getting prepared for the upcoming European Standard on eInvoicing.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.

Best regards,

The CEF SMO
