<p style="font-size:14px16px; font-family:verdana;"> TheYou European Open Data Portal is a one-stop shop providing facilitated and harmonised access to data sets created and managed by public bodies in the Member States, including the national, regional and local levels of government. Generic Services Projects generate open data that enrich the European Data Portal and/or use open data for the development of new products and services. In some of them, administrations are supported in the definition and implementation of open data policies and preparation of datasets for their respective data portals. Some others promote the development of relations between data publishers and potential reusers of such public data. Some focus on the deployment of new innovative services, in particular integrating/developing ecosystems supported by open platforms, making use of static and/or real time data accessed or made accessible via specific solutions e.g. (including the Context Broker). Last but not least some Generic Services Projects feature the use of High Performance Computing to process data.
<br/><br/> The BDTI provides a set of data and analytics services from infrastructure to tools and advisory, allowing European organisations to experiment with Big Data technologies and move towards a data-driven policy making. For the time being, the BDTI does not feature Generic Services Projects.
<br/><br/> The Context Broker is a solution that enables public and private organisations to manage and share real-time data. For example, the context broker can be used by Smart Cities to share information about what is happening in streets (e.g., traffic status, quality of air data, available parking slots, location). For the time being, the Context Broker does not feature Generic Services Projects.
<br/><br/> The SCDS supports knowledge exchange between all actors in the data economy, through the provision of advice, best practices and methodologies for data sharing and analytics.
