    • Public consultation of eDelivery AS4 2.0 and SMP 2.0 profiles ended on . Following feedback received for the consultation, an internal analysis was started and preliminary conclusions already suggest that:
      • the specifications will have to be modified in non-trivial ways and a new public consultation will be necessary, delaying the adoption by at least half a year.
      • an interoperability event will be organised to allow testing of pilot implementations of the new specifications in order to obtain technical validation.
    • Domibus 5.1.1 bug fix release was published on the 
    • Following a series of vulnerabilities discovered/reported:
      • Domibus 5.0.7 was released on the 
      • DomiSMP 5.0.1 was released on the

    • Advice from experts received in 2022 and 2023, respectively, was published as part of the consultation.
    • Following feedback received for the consultation, an internal analysis was started and preliminary conclusions already suggest that:
      • the specifications will have to be modified in non-trivial ways and a new public consultation will be necessary, delaying the adoption by at least half a year.
      • an interoperability event will be organised to allow testing of pilot implementations of the new specifications in order to obtain technical validation.
    • The eDelivery team will prepare and publish disposition of public review comments documents for both specifications in Q1 2024 and organise a meeting of Interoperability Forum to discuss them.
    • A written reply was received from the expert ENISA collaborates to the question raised by a solution provider regarding an increase in complexity in the cryptographic approach.

Software product: Domibus

    • Domibus 5.1.1 bug fix release was published on the 
    • Following the public communicated vulnerability in ActiveMQ, which is use in Domibus as a message broker, and vulnerabilities reported by a third party that conducted a security assessment to the eDelivery components,
      • Domibus 5.0.7 was released on the  (security instructions concerning the ActiveMQ vulnerability were provided to the user community beforehand)
      • Domibus 5.1.2 release planned for the 
    • Following successive issues reported by end users with upgrading the Domibus database when upgrading Domibus, a new process and approach was defined and implemented to provide more clarity and traceability about:

    • Analysis to strengthen the testing of the eDelivery Common Profile (the mandatory part of the profile that is implemented by all conformant products) is ongoing.
    • With the go-live of the platform and growing number of products undergoing the conformance process, the support work has increased substantially 

Software product: Docker images

    • Docker images for Domibus 5.1.x in a Tomcat + MySQL configuration – production readiness activities concluded. This is an OOTS requirement.
      • Domibus 5.1.1 corresponding image was published on the Domibus 5.1.1

Incident Management

SMT - Workload Details

The volume of tickets and Jira issues remained quite stable in October 2023, compared to the previous months. Requests from users concern usual questions on Domibus and the different plugins, Domibus migration and migration scripts, AS4 connectivity test issues, conformance tests questions and issues, Domibus and Docker, etc.

Email Interaction

For eDelivery, received emails were related to:

  • Requests for AS4 connectivity test with RIMS
  • eDelivery conformance tests- questions from Opentext that is running the tests with the new GITB platform
  • PKI SOD for OOTS project finalised and sent
  • Request to use eDelivery SML services from a company working for the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs – SML subdomain request form sent to customer - ongoing
  • Questions from users: Domibus (usage of plugins and plugin users, Domibus migration scripts to Domibus 5.0 and 5.1, compatibility with ActiveMQ Artemis, issue with Domibus start in Docker container, question on WS backend plugin), updated list of Peppol participants provided, SML/SMP (SMP/SMK certificate update/renewal,), PKI certificates (UDB, EPREL, BRIS, EUDAMED), TAPAS (Domibus 5.1.1 release and access to the Digital site only for TAPAS users, ICS2 connectivity test assistance requests (re-directed to the National service desks), onboarding request forwarded to National Helpdesk))
  • There was a total of 639 emails in the FMB. We have removed 66 emails for SML Inconsistency, 14 xmatters and 5 emails from PKI CommisSign from the count, which makes a total of 554 received mails for the reporting month.

In October 2023, 3 certificates were issued: 1 for DECIDE, 1 for EPREL and one for EUDAMED.
