Kerstin Jorna is a German national and a civil servant at the European Commission where she has held various positions, amongst others as Head of Cabinet of several Commissioners and different Director posts.
Mrs. Jorna is the Director-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. Before, Mrs. Jorna was Deputy Director-General for Economic and Financial Affairs. Mrs. Jorna also held positions on the Board of the European Investment Bank, the European Investment Fund as well as the European Innovation Council Fund.
Philippe Van Damme Moderator

Philippe Van Damme is Deputy Director-General "Digital Services"at the European Commission. The Directorate-General for Digital Services (DG DIGIT) is the Commission department responsible for digital services that support all Commission departments and other EU institutions in their daily work and that help public administrations in EU member countries. In his previous function as Director Digital Workplace and Infrastructure he was in charge of the Commission's ICT infrastructure services such as data centres, cloud, network and telecommunications facilities and the engineering and support of the institution's digital workplace.
Between 2009 and august 2014, Philippe Van Damme was head of unit in the Informatics Directorate-General managing the portfolio of administrative information systems for human resources, salaries, pensions and sickness insurance management for staff members of the European institutions.
He holds a MSc degree in electronics engineering and in industrial management, resp. from the University of Ghent and Vlerick Business School. He has also completed an executive leadership program at Harvard Business School.
Jakub Boratynski
Director of DG GROW (Internal market, industry, entrepreneurship and SMEs)
Jakub Boratyński is the Director for Compliance and Responsible Business Conduct at the European Commission’s DG GROW, where he works to improve the EU business environment by promoting sustainability, digitalisation, and fair competition within the Single Market. From 2022 to 2025, he led policies on services, professional qualifications, skills, and market surveillance in DG GROW, while also supporting industrial alliances and managing communication with EU institutions. Previously, at DG CNECT (2014–2021), Jakub focused on cybersecurity, contributing to key legislation (NIS1, NIS2, Cybersecurity Act), 5G security policy, and cooperation with ENISA. Between 2009 and 2013, he headed the Organised Crime Unit at DG Home Affairs, tackling cybercrime, child protection, and asset confiscation, and helped establish the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3). Earlier roles included work on EU-Russia relations, leadership at the Stefan Batory Foundation, and service with the UNHCR. Jakub holds degrees in International Relations and Law from the University of Warsaw and the London School of Economics.

Max has a long-standing passion for digital aspects of public sector policies and for innovative startups and communities. He works in the digital enablers and innovation team at the European Commission’s digital services department.
Martin Hullin
Director of the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s “Digitalization and the Common Good” program
Martin has been Director of the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s Digitalization and the Common Good program since 2023, where he and his team develop innovative approaches to strengthen the common good in context of responsible digitalization at national and international level. Next to conceptualising how public interest decentralised digital architecture could better serve the common good, his expertise includes areas such as international digital and data governance, AI and sustainability policy. Martin has held professional positions in Washington D.C., Geneva, Paris and Bonn, including co-founding the Datasphere Initiative and roles at the United Nations, GIZ and in global multistakeholder policy networks.
Jack Hamande
Director-General Simplification & Digital Transformation - Belgian Federal Public Service Policy and Support (BOSA)
Jack Hamande has built a large background in international business management through key roles at Buena Vista International (Disney Corporation), AT&T, and later Verizon Business (formerly WorldCom).
Over the years, his managerial responsibilities have expanded, particularly in the areas of strategy, regulation, engineering, and business development.
In 2007, he joined Cisco, where he focused on emerging technologies.
In 2009, he shifted his career towards the public sector, becoming Director General for Personnel and Organisational Development at the Federal Public Service (FPS) Personnel & Organisation. As from 2013, He also served as Chair and Board Member of the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications (BIPT), the national regulator for electronic communications and Vice Chair of Berec in 2014.
Since 2021, Jack Hamande has been serving as Director General for Simplification and Digitalisation at FPS BOSA (Federal Public Service Policy and Support). BOSA is delivering IT solutions for the citizens, public institutions & entreprises.

Mario Campolargo is a Portuguese professional currently serving as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the European Commission. With a background in information technology and digital policy, he has held various senior positions within the European Commission, including Director for "Future Networks" and Director for "Net Futures" at the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT). Campolargo has been pivotal in advancing the EU's digital agenda, focusing on innovation and, digital transformation.

Sandra studied political sciences and economics at the Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany and the Université de Montréal, Canada.
Since March 2015 she leads the Brussels Liaison office for private German economic think tank ‘IW’ (Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft/ German Economic Institute) focusing on the EU’s economic policies. Since 2020 she is a member of EESC, currently working on the Single market strategy and the regulatory burden reduction.

From 2022-2023 he was Chief of Staff to State Secretary Florian Tursky, responsible for Digital and Telecommunication; From 2012 -2018 he was Deputy Director of the Directorate „ICT and E-Government“ of the Ministry of Finance, then from 2018-2022, Deputy Director within the respective Directorate with the Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs. Before 2012 Wolfgang Ebner had different functions within the Austrian Ministry of the lso Interior. He was Adviser to the Minster of Interior for technical matters as well as international issues, security research, Cyber Security Coordinator and Chief of staff to the Director for public security. Wolfgang Ebner studied the law and additional studies and qualifications on information security.

Adele Johanson holds a Bachelor's degree in Asia Pacific Studies from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan and a Master's degree in Technology Governance and Digital Transformation from Tallinn University of Technology. She works at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, focusing on standard business reporting to reduce the administrative burden on companies, improve data quality, and apply the once-only principle. Her work supports data-driven decision-making and promotes digital innovation in public sector governance and business services.
Anna Cavazzini

Anna Cavazzini is from Germany and has been a Member of the European Parliament for The Greens/EFA since 2019. She fights for a sustainable EU internal market and fair globalization - in short, for fair and sustainable economic structures inside and outside the EU. Since November 2020, she has been Chair of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection. She is also a substitute member of the Committee on International Trade and vice chair of the Brazil delegation. Her constituencies are Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. Before becoming an MEP, she herself worked in the European Parliament, for the Federal Foreign Office and the UNO and was an advisor to various NGOs.
Małgorzata Mroczkowska-Horne

Małgorzata is an enthusiast and practitioner of new technologies, including digital solutions at work. Małgorzata is a regular speaker at international conferences on matters related to law, competitiveness, economics, agile business solutions, business security and on diversity, equality and inclusiveness of business environment.
As a commercial lawyer, from 2005 to 2024 she managed competition law practices in international law firms, as a partner in the last 5 years. She also served as a non-governmental advisor to the president of the Polish Competition Authority (the UOKiK) as part of the International Competition Network.
She is a graduate of King's College London (studies in the field of EU competition law) and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw.
She is a member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw and the Association of Competition Law (the SPK). In 2024, Małgorzata was ranked in Forbes’ Top 25 Women Lawyers in Business. Since 2019, Małgorzata has been working as a mentor and a judge in hackathons organized by Wolters Kluwer. In addition, she is a mentor in the programs of BNP Paribas Bank SA and the Women in Law foundation. She is a member of the ThinkTank Executive Network.
In 2025, Małgorzata co-founded a Polish Inhouse Lawyers Association (PILA).
Sophia Zakari
Director Enterprise Policy & Legal Affairs - SMEunited
Sophia Zakari is a policy director for enterprise policy and legal affairs at SMEunited. SMEunited is the association for crafts and SMEs in Europe with around 70 member organisations from over 30 European countries. It is a recognised employers’ organisation and European Social Partner and acts on behalf of crafts and SMEs in the European Social Dialogue and in discussions with the EU institutions. Sophia mainly deals with single market related files, but also with digital files, trade issues, and CSR. Before joining SMEunited she has been working in environmental law for French speaking jurisdictions, like France but also Quebec and Ivory Coast.
Andreas Rahlf Hauptmann

Andreas has worked within the ministry in more than 12 years in various roles and is currently working with EU policy namely single market issues and industrial policy. He is also responsible for the work on Defence Industry, Quantum and Foreign Investment Screening.
